OPS 1.5L Turbocharger
OPS has successfully developed a 1.5T turbocharger for medium/small displacement gasoline engines. It has a wide working range, stable and
reliable performance with a maximum torque of 275 Nm and a maximum power of 180 hp. Reducing the cylinder bore of the gasoline engine significantly
increases engine thermal efficiency, low speed torque and operational stability. The turbocharging technology is also suitable for fuel cell air compressors
and unmanned drone engine.
The main technical parameters of the turbocharger are:
single scroll radial flow turbine and impeller design which is reliable and cost effective;
The vaccum control of the wastegate system makes the structure of the turbocharger simple and reliable;
Anti-rattle cup spring on the wastegate system for both hot and cold ends;
Max. compressor efficiency is 76% and turbine efficiency is 72%;
The volute design uses a topology optimization design method to minimize weight and meet flow rate and thermal fatigue requirements;
Fully floating dual bearing system and hex bearing system are used for increased efficiency to mitigate sub-sync vibration;
The compressor inlet adopts an anti-icing design to avoid the condensation of the water trapped into the compressor and the intercooler (CAC) which cause damage
to the underboost of the engine and damage of the charging systems;
Electronically controlled compressor recirculation valve;
PCV fitting as POA in turbocharger.
The turbocharger assembly mass is about 5.3kg which is very compact to the market competitors and it's configurable in a variety of flagship full-size sedan and
five-seat mid-size SUV.
